Famished for Fiction began in the winter of 2007 as a way for 5th-8th grade students to meet and share with each other the books that they are reading. We meet in the school's library for several sessions throughout the school year to eat lunch and talk books.
Rosetta Metz and Liz Kaiz Rosetta works with the 5th and 6th grade Famished for Fiction groups and is the School Liaison at the Morton Grove Public Library. Liz leads the 7th and 8th grade Famished for Fiction club and is the Young Adult Librarian at MGPL.
The Morton Grove Public Library serves the informational, professional, educational and recreational needs of Morton Grove's diverse, multicultural community. Morton Grove Public Library houses more than 136,000 items, ranging from current best-sellers to the latest in audiobooks and DVDs, popular computer, history and medicine titles, as well as more than 400 magazines and newsletters. In addition to books, Library patrons also may borrow magazines, videos/DVDs, audiobooks, and compact discs. The Library provides a variety of additional services including Internet access computers and use of Microsoft Office products, as well as photocopying machines and listening stations for public use.
